Part-time Member Service and Court Coordinator

Working time:
– at least two (2) weekday afternoons to evenings – Must be available to work weekends.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– manage front desk
– signup membership
– collecting fees for drop-in, classes, pro-shop, and other services
– facilitate court rotation for players inside the gym
– helping on basic office work like copying, printing, recording, making signs
– take care of rental and demo racket
– open and close the front desk
– answering phone calls and messages
– court cleaning (mopping the floor and empty trash bins)
– basic office and bathroom tidiness (organizing magazines & chairs, refill paper towels, wiping wet areas)

– Assist managers and coaches when needed

Candidate qualities we are looking for:
– friendly and courteous
– reliable and punctual
– well organized, attention to detail
– willing to learn and improve himself
– reasonable math skills
– enthusiastic and positive
– great communication skills

– great management skills
– computer literate
– commit to work for at least 6 months or more

Other optional but preferred qualities:
– flexible schedule for weekday nights and weekend will be very helpful
– can speak foreign languages like Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese, etc.
– is a badminton player or played before
– had customer service experience before
– proficient on basic computer skills like using Excel, Word
– basic accounting knowledge and/or past working experience


 

Full Time Badminton Coach

Job Description:

-Lead and teach junior and adult lessons.

-Working with head coach on junior programs, events and class schedules.

-Communicate with students and parents.

-Plan and coordinate junior program activities/events.

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

1+ Years of Badminton Coaching Experience (USAB coaching certification preferred)

Create lesson plans and lead assistance coaches to conduct the class.

The enthusiasm to guide our Junior players and prepare them for regional/national/international tournaments

Effective interpersonal communication skills to coordinate needs between parents, coaches, and students

A sincere desire to create a strong sense of community and pride for members and students of SBC via social events
